The St. Michael’s Foundation is about passionately and compassionately serving people under our vigilance. With this community as our greatest asset for growth and positive change, it is important for the St. Michael’s Foundation to give back to the community from which it stems. It is about relationships; giving back to our family and friends with generosity as has been shown to St. Michael’s since 1929.
By bringing together resources, opportunity and “people power” the St. Michael’s Foundation can help to fund innovative projects and equipment which:
- Have a direct impact on the lives of individuals both today and in the future
- Strive for fullest assimilation of individuals back into the community
- Contribute globally to rehabilitation and nursing best practices
- And ultimately contribute to positive change in our community
A past PARP (Post Acute Reheabilitation Program) patient shared her appreciation of the community support shown to the Foundation by stating:
“I and other patients are so appreciative to the people who donate money, equipment and other items. I also want to thank St. Michael’s very much. They don’t just do the work, they care about patients, they want to help patients. I just thank them so much.”
Mr. Hugh Christie echoed her words by saying “I spent two months in their care and now I am home and walking again. I feel, without a doubt, that this is a facility that everyone should be aware of. The entire staff is most gracious and accommodating whether they be nurses, therapists, dietary, housekeeping or volunteers. I wish to express my thanks to the staff for helping me to get my life back again. Thank you.”

This is what the supporters of St. Michael’s Foundation can be proud of. They not only support health care through Covenant Health Lethbridge, but more importantly by making a difference in the lives of our loved ones and in our community. Thank you!
